The Hazel House is a Café and Woodwork school based in Rathfarnham, Dublin. We set up in 2014. Our moto is ‘From the Ground up’ (Crafting, Making, Growing, Baking. )
We try to build and make everything we can and mostly from wood.

We are passionate about wood and good food. We run same day courses in our Dublin workshop and overnight Woodwork retreats in our Leitrim venue. In both locations, students will learn the skills necessary to create their own piece of furniture to take home.

In 2019 we expanded to Drumshambo in lovely Leitrim. We have called this Dreamweavers by The Hazel House. Here we grow our veg and salads organically for our café in Dublin. We now also run woodwork course weekends which will include making your own piece of furniture in our Leitrim woodwork shop, learning about organic growing, rolling out dough and cooking your meals in our outdoor woodfired oven and BBQ. Farm to table style as much as possible. Finished off by pulling your own pint of Guinness in our private bar “The Right Foot Inn”.
